Round and round
Folajimi chose the Petter oil engine at the Museum Collections Centre as his favourite object:

“I chose the oil powered engine because I love it. Petter Limited, based in Yeovil, Somerset made it. I think it’s great because it goes round and round. It’s made out of metal and it’s strong. It was made in 1922 and moved into the museum collection in 1978.”

The engine was used to pump water to water sports grounds and gardens in Oxford. The pump was made by Thomas and Son of Worcester.
